Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Transport Planner to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our transport network.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer and Driver Support: Assist drivers and customers via email, WhatsApp, and phone, providing timely updates and resolving any issues that may arise.
VBS Bookings: Manage VBS (Vehicle Booking System) bookings efficiently and accurately.
Transport Coordination: Inform drivers about loading and unloading details for their assigned jobs.
System Management: Utilize our dedicated software for tracking and monitoring shipments, ensuring on-time delivery and proactively addressing any potential delays.
Job Planning: Carefully plan and assign jobs to drivers, optimizing routes and schedules to minimize delays and maximize efficiency.
Customer Communication: Keep customers informed about any delays or changes to their deliveries, maintaining open and transparent communication.
Qualifications:
- Essential:
Proven ability to work under pressure and handle challenges effectively.
Positive and proactive attitude with a strong focus on problem-solving.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Preferred:
Previous experience in transport planning or a related field is an asset, but not required.
Knowledge of VBS (Vehicle Booking System) or similar platforms.
Familiarity with logistics software and GPS tracking systems.
- Training and Commitment:
We are willing to provide comprehensive training to the right candidate. However, if you require full training, we ask for a minimum two-year commitment to the company.
