The Senior Network Administrator will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our organization’s network infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of networking concepts, hands-on experience with network hardware and software, and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues effectively. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our network environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement network architecture to meet the organization’s current and future needs.
  • Configure and maintain network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve issues to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems, to protect against cyber threats.
  • Develop and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and inventory records.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate network infrastructure with existing systems and applications.
  • Evaluate new networking technologies and make recommendations for network enhancements and upgrades.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior network administrators and other IT staff.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to network emergencies outside of regular business hours, as needed.

Skill, experience and qualifications required:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a network administrator or in a similar role.
  • Solid understanding of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
  • Experience with network hardware and software, such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, and Fortinet.
  • Strong knowledge of network security best practices and tools.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Industry certifications, such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent, are preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £39,500.00-£42,000.00 per year
