Job Summary

South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust (SWFT) is an integrated acute and community Trust, and is looking for an outstanding individual to coordinate the implementation of Power BI within the department and wider Trust as part of the upcoming EPR project.

The successful post holder will possess excellent technical skills including Data Modelling, Data Transformation and DAX. The post holder will also be expected to train other staff members.

Your strong Power BI skills will mean you will lead the development, maintenance, continual improvement, and access control of automated Power BI dashboards and reports. The post holder will work closely with the Data Migration team to use Power BI and bespoke analysis to help support a successful DM process.

Main duties of the job

To coordinate the implementation of Power BI within the department and wider Trust, delivering business intelligence reports and dashboards that support organisational performance improvement. Use of Power BI as a tool to assist in highlighting and visualising changes in recorded data and trends during and post Oracle Millenium adoption. To provide expert technical leadership in Power BI development, maintenance, and training while ensuring compliance with all contractual and regulatory information sharing requirements.

Essential

  • Degree qualification or equivalent knowledge and experience in a numerate discipline
  • Additional specialist knowledge acquired through post graduate diploma level or equivalent relevant experience

  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Management/supervisory qualification or equivalent experience

Experience

Essential

  • Extensive, advanced experience of Microsoft SQL Server in a complex organisation, including SSRS design/implementation and SSIS data conversion/transformation
  • Experience generating reports using webbased reporting services (Microsoft SQL Reporting Services and Microsoft PowerBI)
  • Experience of leading on design, development and evaluation of new reporting requirements

  • Experience of working with clinical information systems
