Job brief
We are looking to hire an enthusiastic and hardworking quality officer with a keen eye for detail. You will be responsible for performing quality control checks on our company products and services to ensure they meet company standards and if required legal standards for safety and quality. You will also be required to prepare and report on test data and identify areas for quality control improvement.
To ensure success as a quality officer, you should have a strong working knowledge of quality control methods, excellent visual awareness, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Ultimately, a top-class quality officer can efficiently monitor the integrity and quality of products and services without impeding production rates.
Responsibilities
· Developing and maintaining company inspection reports
· Setting up and managing quality control systems
· Inspecting products or services according to quality and safety standards
· Inspecting production equipment and machinery to ensure they’re operating efficiently
· Inspecting products bought from suppliers and keeping records of suppliers’ performance
· Ensuring products and services comply with company and legal standards
· Ensuring that production facilities are always safe and clean
· Reporting quality anomalies to your manager
· Collating test data and drafting quality reports
· Identifying possible areas for improvement in quality control processes
· Ensuring production is not hindered by quality testing procedures
Requirements and skills
· Experience as a quality officer or similar
· High-level of visual awareness.
· Advanced organizational skills
· Experience drafting reports and collating data
· Ability to work alone with minimal supervision
· Ability to analyse and interpret technical information
· Desirable = Degree level education
