Office Manager – Car Hire Company (Ilford)

We are a well-established car hire company based in Ilford, currently seeking an experienced and organised Office Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, excellent communication abilities, and the confidence to oversee day-to-day office operations in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily office operations and ensure smooth workflow
- Handle customer enquiries via phone, email, and in person
- Assist with booking and rental documentation
- Maintain accurate records and update internal systems
- Oversee office supplies, schedules, and general administration
- Liaise with suppliers, insurance companies, and service providers
- Support management with reporting and compliance tasks
- Supervise office staff and help train new employees
Requirements:
- Previous office management or senior administrative experience (preferred in car hire, transport, automotive, or similar industry)
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Confident communicator with excellent customer service skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and general IT competence
- Ability to work independently and problem-solve
- Professional, reliable, and proactive attitude
