Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting the overall financial health of the organisation. This position requires proficiency in various accounting software and a strong understanding of financial services.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers and vendors.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support decision-making.
- Conduct data entry tasks to ensure accurate financial records are maintained.
- Utilise accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, Workday, or Xero for various financial transactions and reporting.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information and provide support as needed.
- Assist with audits by providing required documentation and explanations for financial activities.
- Monitor cash flow and assist in the preparation of cash flow forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies regarding financial practices.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a finance-related role within the financial services sector is preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, Workday, or Xero is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
