As new product opportunities emerge we are growing the team to accelerate the development effort. We are seeking experienced Senior Design Engineers to join the team at our HQ on the Advanced Manufacturing Park in Sheffield.

Role Purpose:
- Play a key role in the development of hardware technology in response to the growing demands on compute infrastructure.
- You will join a multi-disciplinary engineering team to drive the design and innovation of our liquid cooled technologies.
- Solve technical challenges to create commercially successful products that exceed performance expectations of our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work in collaboration with a multi-discipline engineering and project team.
- Characterisation of structural performance for components and systems to house electronics and provide cooling solutions.
- Units for the containment, direction, and circulation of fluid.
- Units to pass electronic signals through seals.
- Units to enable the liquid cooling of hot swappable modular items, such as power supplies, pumps, or disk drives.
- Produce 3D assembly models.
- Author detailed engineering drawings, BoM, revision management and manufacturing data.
- Document and communicate your innovative ideas.
- Take the helm in prototype construction, testing, and design validation.
Skills & Experience you bring:
(Essential)
- Proficient in Solidworks
- Adept in the design and development process, concept to finished product.
- Experience in construction & management of Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Broad manufacturing knowledge of different materials and processes in particular sheet metal forming and bending, machined metal, plastic injection moulding.
- Proficient in design validation and analysis.
- Experience of material selection for ideal product realisation.
- Experienced in Design for Manufacture (DFM).
- Product Data Management (PDM) and engineering change management.
- Experience in drafting, managing and updating of technical engineering documentation.
- Experience of working with project teams.
(Desirable)
- Understanding of CFD or Thermofluids.
- Experience in mechanical integrity analysis and understanding of deflection at interfaces and factor of safety.
- Flair for rendering CAD images for marketing (using photo view 360 or equivalent).
- FEA linear/nonlinear studies & multi-part assemblies (gaskets, seals, etc.)
