Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing the flow of goods and materials throughout the supply chain. This position requires strong organisational skills, effective communication abilities, and a solid understanding of logistics processes. The Logistics Coordinator will liaise with various stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient shipping and receiving operations.
Duties
- Coordinate and oversee shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Utilise Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to track shipments and manage logistics operations.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, customers, and third-party logistics providers (3PL) to resolve any issues that may arise.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and deliveries using software such as AS400 or SyteLine.
- Assist in the planning and execution of supply chain strategies to optimise efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies regarding transportation and logistics.
- Provide exceptional phone etiquette when dealing with inquiries from clients or partners.
Experience
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
- Proven experience in logistics or supply chain management is preferred.
- Proficiency in using logistics software, including AS400 or SyteLine.
- Strong understanding of shipping and receiving processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Familiarity with 3PL operations and transportation management systems is advantageous.
- A keen attention to detail and strong organisational skills are essential for success in this role.
