Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Test Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products through rigorous testing and analysis. This position requires a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions that meet user needs.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute test cases based on project requirements and specifications.
  • Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand features and functionality for effective testing.
  • Conduct thorough quality assurance (QA) testing, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
  • Utilise tools such as JUnit for automated testing to enhance efficiency in the testing process.
  • Manage release cycles and coordinate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployments.
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement within the software applications.
  • Document test results, report defects, and track issues through resolution using version control systems like SVN.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes and methodologies.

Skills

  • Proficient understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and quality assurance principles.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools to facilitate integration between development and operations teams.
  • Familiarity with SOAP services for web service testing is advantageous.
  • Strong data analysis skills to interpret test results effectively.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as PHP or Node.js is a plus for understanding application logic.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
