Job Overview:
We are recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to play a key role in the development of our office systems and assist the trading team in enhancing our platform’s functionality. The successful candidate will have a strong project management background and technical expertise in the sports betting or gambling industry. They will lead the design, development, and implementation of office and operational systems, while working closely with our trading team to improve efficiency and system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the development and implementation of office systems and operational procedures.
- Assist the trading team in managing odds, creating betting markets, and ensuring the platform meets customer demands.
- Collaborate with the technical team to drive system improvements and ensure timely project delivery.
- Liaise with developers to enhance system functionality, user experience, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all regulations, including customer exclusions, limits, and responsible gaming policies.
- Monitor and adjust betting lines in response to customer activity and market movements.
- Analyse system performance and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Lead technical projects to optimize platform performance and customer satisfaction.
- Manage timelines, resources, and project deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Identify opportunities to streamline operations and improve workflow efficiency across departments.
- Ensure clear communication with stakeholders, developers, and team members throughout all project phases.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Industry Knowledge:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the sports betting or gambling industry.
- In-depth understanding of sports betting, market trends, and trading practices.
Technical Expertise:
- A degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong project management skills with a proven ability to lead and deliver technical projects on time.
- Experience working with software development teams and the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes.
- Familiarity with AWS (Amazon Web Services) is an advantage.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make strategic recommendations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, customers, and external partners.
Flexibility:
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, in line with sporting events.
Salary and Benefits:
- Salary: Up to £40,000 per year, depending on experience.
