Responsibilities
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and adherence to food safety regulations
- Supervise and train staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and customer service
- Manage team performance, providing guidance and support to enhance skills and productivity
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen and dining areas
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop menus that reflect seasonal offerings and customer preferences
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while promoting a safe working environment
- Handle customer inquiries and feedback professionally to enhance guest satisfaction
- Assist in inventory management, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is essential
- Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation, cooking methods, and food production processes
- Previous experience in team management, demonstrating effective leadership skills
- Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in kitchen operations
- Experience in serving or barista roles is advantageous but not mandatory
- A background in hotel or catering environments will be considered an asset
